Umit Toleutaevna Zhumakova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work

Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work of the Central Committee, founded in 2012. Since then, about 2000 specialists have been trained. The activity of the faculty consists in high-quality training of specialists for the education system, psychology and social work, competitive and in demand in the labor market, able to effectively adapt to the dynamically changing social and professional conditions of activity, having a high level of readiness to implement the main professional functions, able to constructively influence the nature and direction of the development of professional areas of their activities, having the skills of organizational work and management activities.

In the structure of the faculty there are:

• 2 departments: pedagogy and psychology, defectology and social work;
• library.

At the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work, training is conducted in the following five educational programs of the bachelor's degree:

The faculty has a human resource potential – the teaching staff consists of 41 people, including 3 doctors, 13 candidates and 25 masters.

Providing assistance to people who need it, who are unable to solve their life problems without help, and in many cases to live (social and household assistance, social and informational, social and legal, socio-economic, socio-rehabilitation, medical and social, socio-psychological, socio-economic, socio-pedagogical, etc.); social protection (working, unemployed, large families, etc.), social services, social; socio-medical services to the population; psychosocial work.

The educational and methodological work of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work is carried out in full compliance with the normative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academic Calendar and the schedule of the educational process.

The structure and content of the working curricula correspond to the standard plans and the catalog of elective disciplines. Working curricula and Catalogs of elective disciplines are discussed at the departments, at the faculty's educational and methodological council, are agreed with the educational and methodological Council, and if there is a positive conclusion, they are approved by the Academic Council of the Academy. The content of educational programs for the mandatory component of the curriculum meets the requirements of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Approval of the State mandatory standards of education of the relevant levels of education" dated 23.08.12, No. 1080, which ensures the consistency of the study of disciplines based on their continuity, rational distribution of disciplines by semesters from the standpoint of uniformity of the student's academic work, effective use of the personnel and material and technical potential of the university.

In the course of training, teachers of the department use various teaching methods aimed at activating the mental activity of students, increasing the level of their independent search for new knowledge, achieving creative application of knowledge. For this purpose, teachers use various teaching methods: working in small groups, «Brainstorming», presentations of topics, sections, demonstration of educational films, solving creative tasks and practice-oriented tasks. Classes are conducted using technical training tools and Internet resources: the use of slides, presentations, reconstructions of various situations related to the topics of the classes.

The research activity of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work is aimed at the development of fundamental and applied research, meeting the needs of modern production and society.

The close connection of scientific research with the educational process and production ensures high-quality training of specialists.

The Faculty is guided in its activities by the legislative and regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the Academy, determines scientific and innovative activities on the basis of the Academy's development strategy, decisions of the Academic Council.

The departments conduct research work, the results of which are used in the development of new courses of lectures, the preparation of educational and methodological manuals, scientific and practical conferences. The policy in choosing research directions is determined by the priority tasks facing Kazakhstan, the capabilities and qualifications of scientific and pedagogical personnel, and the tasks facing the university.

Gulmira Baizakovna Zhumadilova, Deputy Dean for Educational and Career Guidance

The educational work of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work of the Central Kazakhstan Academy involves the following main directions:

- Formation of inter-confessional, multi-ethnic tolerance and Kazakhstan's patriotism;
- Environmental, physical education and the formation of a health-saving environment, a healthy lifestyle;

The priority direction of educational work is the patriotic education of students. In this direction, events dedicated to the Constitution Day, Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Day of Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, Nauryz-Meiramy, Victory Day are held. Within the framework of these holidays, thematic curatorial hours are held, where systematic work is carried out to promote the State symbols, the value attitude to the concepts of the Motherland, the Coat of Arms, the Flag, and the Anthem of the state.

Special attention is paid to the development of students ' creative and scientific potential. In this regard, it has become a tradition at the faculty to hold such events as" Dedication to Students", a parody Show dedicated to the International Students ' Day, a New Year's masquerade ball. The faculty has vocal, folk and contemporary dance clubs, a debate club «Parasat», and an intellectual club « What? Where? When?». To identify talented students and organize further work with them, the «New Names» competition is held annually among first-year students. Students take an active part in various festivals, competitions of the city, regional and national scale. The KVN team «Bagala» successfully performs at the regional and republican KVN games. To promote a healthy lifestyle, various actions and trainings are held at the faculty, the faculty cooperates with the OTSFZZH, the AIDS Center, and the specialists of these organizations often give lectures to students.

Students take an active part in the annual health festival, organized by the Regional Center for the Development of Healthy Lifestyle.

In the academic building of the faculty, several thematic stands have been prepared and decorated, which reflect the achievements of students in amateur art, in public life and sports. On the first floor of the building, the information stand of the Committee for Youth Affairs is decorated, on the third floor of the building, the stand «Great Thinkers of the Kazakh people»is decorated. Special attention is paid to the visual promotion of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A patriotic corner is decorated in the hall of the institute.

The system of student self-government of the faculty is implemented through the Committee on Youth Affairs (KDM). The structure of the Committee for Youth Affairs consists of a Center for Creative Youth and an information and analytical center. The Center for Creative Youth combines a vocal studio, a choreographic team, and a debate club. The KDM also includes leaders of academic groups.
