Faculty of Psychology and Social Work

The main activities of the Faculty of Foreign Philology ​​and Translation Studies are carried out on the basis of a combination of classical traditions of education with innovative methods. The department trains specialists at two levels of education - Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Education is conducted according to full-time educational programs, as well as full-time programs using distance learning technologies (DLT).

Sphere of professional activity

Ensuring translation activities in various areas of business, production, as well as teaching foreign languages ​​at all levels of education.
The objects of professional activity of CKA graduates in the specialization of the department are international companies, embassies and consulates, public authorities and administrations, translation agencies, travel agencies, as well as schools, colleges, universities.
Subjects of professional activity:

• technical translations;
• legal and economic translations;
• literary translation;
• intercultural communication;
• mass media, including electronic ones;
• marketing agencies;
• tourist services.

Types of professional activity:

Bachelors in the educational program 6B02308 - "Translation Studies" can perform the following types of professional activities:
the work of a translator in various fields of science and practice, business, culture, diplomatic service;
Bachelors in the educational program 6B02309 - "Foreign Philology" can perform the following types of professional activities:

• work in foreign language courses;
• work in publishing houses and in the media;
• tutoring in foreign languages;
• literary and critical activity;
• pedagogical activity in educational institutions providing secondary and secondary vocational education.

Masters in the educational program 7M02302 - "Philology" can perform the following types of professional activities:

• research activities in the field of language and literature in academic institutions and universities;
• pedagogical activity in educational institutions providing secondary, secondary vocational, higher and postgraduate education.
• work in language courses;

Masters in the educational program 7M02303 - "Foreign Philology" can perform the following professional activities:

• ensuring the activities of public authorities in the field of international relations;
• work in foreign language courses, in publishing houses and in the media;
• tutoring in foreign languages;
• pedagogical activity in educational institutions providing secondary, secondary vocational, higher and postgraduate education.
